David A. Sexton

Biography

David A. Sexton is a designer of theater and live events based in Brooklyn, NY. He’s been an associate member of The Wooster Group since 2017. Work with the group includes touring with The B-Side, A Pink Chair, The Town Hall Affair and development with Since I Can Remember and The Mother. On Broadway, he assisted Ben Stanton on Fun Home and David Weiner on David Leveaux’s revival of Romeo and Juliet. Off-Broadway he has worked with The Public Theater, Irish Rep, Signature Theatre Company, MCC Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, The Vineyard, GroundUp Productions, The New Ohio, F*It Club, Theater Now NY and Roundabout Underground. Regionally he has worked with Ford’s Theater, A.R.T., Canada Stage, The Kennedy Center, Two River Theater Company, Quintessence Theater Group, Williamstown Theater Festival, Cortland Repertory Theater, Park Playhouse, Ocean State Theater Company, 1st Stage Tysons, Algonquin Arts and BIG Arts Herb Strauss Theater. Internationally he’s worked with the Abbey Theatre Company in Ireland adapting shows to tour North America. He’s also worked large music festivals including, Bonnaroo music and arts festival, Outside Lands, Governor’s Ball and Format Fest. Out on the seas he’s worked with Norwegian, Disney, MSC and Azamara cruise lines.  He’s also worked with RWS and Associates on creating theme park shows for Santa’s Village in NH, Six Flags Darien Lake, Frontier City, and Elitch Gardens. David graduated with a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. davidasexton.com
