Kori Hansen is the Technical Coordinator for the Visual and Performing Arts Center at WCSU and is responsible for the training and maintenance of the lighting and rigging systems for the art, music, and theatre departments. She is also an adjunct professor for the Theatre Department. She obtained her BFA in Design Technology from SUNY Purchase. Kori has spent 40 plus years in live entertainment production and management in a wide variety of areas. Her early work included touring as an electrician for the Big Apple Circus, lighting crew for Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, Marketing for Kliegl Bros Lighting, and managing the NYC location of Production Arts Lighting. Prior to WCSU, Kori worked as a technical director for corporate events and as the production manager for the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill NY where she managed over 500 shows including children’s shows, dance and countless rock and roll performances. In addition to WCSU, Kori fills in as lighting director for the YES television network for the pre and post-game shows for the NY Yankees and the NY Nets.
